The Scheepvaartkwartier is a neighborhood of Rotterdam that we love and live in ourselves. We have lovingly recreated an old bank building into luxury suites so that guests can enjoy our neighborhood also!
De Zalm Suites is run by a compact and passionate team that is very involved. We work hard to make sure our guests have a great stay. We wish to share our suites with others who share our values and who we believe will be inspired by the space we established.

Our suites are individually designed and inspired by the distinct, historical, and gastronomic Scheepvaartkwartier. Everything, including details and color, reflects this. The suites’ living areas are completed with a kitchen, dining table, and sofa. Everything in the kitchen is of the highest caliber, from the dishwasher to the induction cooktop. The bathrooms, which feature a roomy bathtub or sun shower, further showcase the maximum luxury of the suites. Every suite features an opulent extra, such as a panoramic window or a private terrace. The suites have a size of approximately 75m³.
The suites offer the perfect combination between vibrant city life and the opportunity to retreat from it. Located in the charming ‘Scheepvaartkwartier’ district, the suites are surrounded by historic buildings, modern high-rise buildings and lots of greenery, which ensures that you won’t grow bored easily.
The Scheepvaartkwartier has something to offer everyone, whether you’re searching for something lively like the numerous catering dining establishments or relaxing time in the museums. Being away only a short time from the city center, makes the Scheepvaartkwartier conveniently reachable by water taxi and public transportation.
